Can anyone help me with a Motor Vehicle Title question?

1. Car was purchased in January.
2. Dealership failed to send the Tag Information after 3 or 4 months.
3. Finance Company has NO records of the Title.
4. A Title was issued DIRECTLY to the person applying.

Therefore, it would seem like the vehicle’s owners actually own the vehicle correct? How does the Finance Company stand without having a Title. Should the owners continue to pay on the vehicle? Should they get an attorney/lawyer? (if so what kind)

(Additional Information the vehicle owners live in Atlanta, Georgia.)

I am listed as next of kin with the coroner and sole beneficiary on his life insurance policy. Propecia buy The life insurance is minimal and I cannot afford an attorney, but I need to dispose of the vehicle. No one I know is sure what to do and I can just imagine trying to explain this to DMV.
