I Am Recieving A Vehicle As A Gift In Tennessee From A Person In Indiana What Is The Requirements?

I have the paper affidavit of non-dealer transfers of motor vehicles and boats. But the person that is bring it to me got power of attorney on the vehicle and said he had to return tags and registration back up to the person in indiana. Won’t I have to have them in order to get my stuff here? I know need the title.
